I had some weird dreams last night/this morning. I'm gonna write them down now. And you're gonna listen to them! :D

The first one was the really weird one. It was like a first-person shooter, set in this sci-fi setting kind of like a vault from Fallout or a space station or something. The vault was set up kind of like a high school, and I kept seeing big "Go Red Dragons" banners in places like it was our sports team or something. There was this weird plot going on about false gods, and then I met a true god, and he came with my little band of followers. (I had some kind of party going, like it was a Final Fantasy game, but I don't remember much about it.) Finally, at the end, there was this huge battle going on, so I leapt over this railing and down to the bottom, and picked up this big laser cannon thing and went to town. Then I woke up because it was starting to really not make any sense.

Keeping up with the first-person shooter theme, my next dream was about playing Team Fortress 2. Not being in the game or anything, just playing. I was a Sniper and was doing pretty well, even when a Pyro ignited me and I... just didn't die. I didn't take any damage from the fire. At one point I got some weird achievement, "Fake Cause" for not firing on teammates (which is a dumb achievement because friendly fire is off and you're supposed to shoot your friends to check for spies) but then when I accidentally hit a teammate while trying to take out a Pyro, the achievement was revoked. :<

Then I dreamed that while playing Team Fortress 2, there was some spectacular glitch where I was a Sniper but none of my weapons showed up (I could only see my hands, like when I try to play Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl on this computer), and then after firing a couple of them, I realized I had Spy's weapons. I even had the disguise kit and was a Sniper who was able to cloak and disguise. I tried to record a demo of it to put on YouTube but then I woke up.

...You know what? I'm going back to bed.

So, uh... when I threatened Peachi about returning to the Neopian Times, I... sort of meant it. I'm going to rewrite my old stories, one by one, to get back into the swing of writing. I'm returning to my very first (accepted) story, Shock Tactics. Let me show you how I've done:

So I was looking around for some quick meals at the Dollar General where I work. I found the Spam and thought about it, but it was two bucks per can and I figured I'd rather just buy two cans of ravioli or something. Then I noticed this stuff called "American Pride Bacon Grill" which is some sort of... 'luncheon loaf'. "Awesome," I thought, "I like bacon, I like lunch, and I like loaves. And it's only a dollar! What a steal!"

Today I made some and ate it. ...It was pretty good. It tasted just like spam, if you had cooked the spam in the skillet you used for bacon a couple minutes earlier. I scrambled an egg and made a quasi-breakfast sandwich.

But... now I'm kind of afraid I'm going to die. I mean, I just bought IMITATION SPAM. That's like the lowest of the low. I almost deserve to die. Plus, I've got a couple more cans of the stuff. I mean, it's... it's good, but at what cost? WHAT COST? WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

If I die, you'll know what killed me. Hubris. Hubris and terrible meat.

(Oh yeah and as you can see from the subject, I called it the Sandwich of Nightmares. I'm thinking about making a brand here.)

It was my birthday yesterday, if you hadn't gathered from the journals and forum posts I've been littering around the Internet.

I got Advance Wars Days of Ruin, Elder Scrolls Oblivion, a DVD of Goldeneye, and... my very own Wii and a copy of Brawl. So maybe once I figure out where the crap I find out what my codes are, we can exchange them and battle together, yes? :3

If you join a community and want to write an entry to show in that community, does it ALSO show up in your journal/the friends pages of people that have you as a friend but aren't in that community? I'm new to this. I'm so used to being independent.

Ugh, you know that feeling when one day something works perfectly and then the next it doesn't anymore?

I used to play Rise of Nations a whole lot, and now its sound and music don't seem to work properly. The audio stutters and sometimes it'll just completely cut out, leaving the game in silence. The game ITSELF works fine, but the audio doesn't. I've been desperately trying to figure out what's going on, and I've gotten a few solutions thought out:

1: Spyware/Adware/Malware/Viruses/Etc.
This is never it and if it is, it's never as easy as just running a scanner.

2: Something about my computer changed.
I'm using a different monitor, is that it? Maybe my speakers are degrading? It isn't the CD since the game works fine on my laptop and BOTH Rise and its expansion don't work on my desktop. I've been lugging my desktop tower back and forth between my apartment and my home lately, maybe something got knocked loose? (If that was true wouldn't NOTHING work? So far it's just Rise, every other game I've tried works and WinAmp works perfectly.)

3: Generals did it.
The only game I've been playing before Rise has been Generals. Maybe it did this.

4: Power surge.
There was a power outage a month ago or so. My computer went down while it was still running. Maybe this did it? Again, though, if this is the cause then EVERYTHING should be broken. Although my computer's felt... "off" ever since then. I've never heard of a power surge corrupting things before, though. If this was the cause then the computer wouldn't even start up.

5: Network.
The home network here is different than the other networks I've been using. Maybe it could be interfering somehow?

There's an Edgeworth game coming out! As in like, you play as Edgeworth and get to screw around as a prosecutor or something. I'm pretty excited about it, to be honest (even though I just heard about it like five minutes ago and I've seen a grand total of two screenshots).

If they call it Perfect Prosecutor, though (which I kinda hope they do because it's a nice name), it'll totally screw up what I do in my Forcastia stories. When I want to reference a game, I can't just say the name itself because that breaks immersion (the Forcastian version of Half-Life 2 MIGHT not be called Half-Life 2 and besides I'm pretty sure that infringes copyrights), so when I talked about Ace Attorney, I always called it Perfect Prosecutor (I even had a sequel called something Investigator but I don't remember the I-word I used). But... now I can't do that because Perfect Prosecutor's an...actual game now? This is so confusing.

By the way, I hear there's a Pokemon Diamond and Pearl dating game coming out. Oh, what they won't do for their money!

Happy April Fool's Day to everyone here. Dudes, form a line to my left for handshakes. Girls, form a line to my right for make-outs.

So if you use DeviantArt you've probably noticed the little avatar prank they have going. Is it just me or is everyone completely freaking out about it? I mean, I understand the initial "holy crap where has my avatar gone" feeling, but there are some people that have been on their soapboxes all day long from the looks of it. Yeah, the whole Mudkip thing has been done before, it's sort of a worn-out meme, changing avatars is kind of low, blah blah whatever but come on, putting all of your RIGHTEOUS FURY into ANGRY JOURNALS on an art gallery site isn't going to do much. It's ONE DAY - if it pisses you off so much, stay away from the site for a few more hours.

The thing I absolutely love, though, are the journals from psuedo-intellectuals ranting "there are people on here who take their craft very seriously and this kind of sophomoric humor is incredibly unprofessional!" These people take too much time thinking up big words to pepper their ravings and too little time remembering that said raving is about an art gallery on the Internet.
